ACCENTS FOR ACTORS
When it comes to developing technique and stimulating the imagination there is nothing quite like accent work! Growing your inventory of accents is hugely fun and so much more than a party trick. Learning a new accent switches on different areas of the brain, in the same way that playing an instrument or speaking a second language can, opening your mind up to a world of growth. Furthermore, actors who are brave, vulnerable and playful enough to try new accents are on their way to becoming the best in their craft. In these monthly masterclasses students will work their way through a variety of accents with ample opportunity to practise their new voices in our screen and classical acting classes. These sessions will be led by esteemed accent and dialect coach Ryan O’Grad
RYAN O’GRADY
Ryan is an accent coach who specialises in British and American regional accents. He works with actors of all ages and has recently coached on the feature films "Prizefighter: The Life of Jem Belcher" and "Three Day Millionaire", and has worked with Southwark Playhouse, Young Vic and a now Imaginarium Academy. He also works as an actor in film and theatre.
Masterclasses run once a month on Fridays from 7:30pm to 9:00pm (UK time)
